Wednesday, April 29, 2020 Hump day! Make today another great day!  Morning News: April 29, 2020

Morning Routine: (oral)

Today is April 29th, so I want you to count to 29.

Repeat after me: Today is Wednesday, April 29, 2020.

What day is today? What day was yesterday? What day is tomorrow?

What month is it? What month is coming up next? How many more days are left in April?

What kind of weather is it outside today?

Today is the 143rd day of school! Count to 140 by tens and then add THREE more! 143!

*If we were using our straws to count, we would have 100 straws rubber band together in the hundreds column and now 4 groups of 10 (40 straws) in the tens column and three straws in the ones column.

Sing the WEDNESDAY song and the APRIL SONG!

HERE are the month songs where you will find April. We sing this song every morning!

For writing workshop today, spend some time looking at our "how to" powerpoint. Look at your friends' "how to's" they have made. Pick 2 how to's and say a compliment about each of them! Say out loud something you like about your friend's work or something they did well. After you compliment 2 how to's, try to think of one thing you want to add to your next "how to". You do not have to start a new "how to" today if you do not want to.
